We used five different locations for our music video, a local park, Waterloo Bridge, Leake St., Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and our college Studio. Most of the shots were used outside as we wanted the audience to get an open mind idea of her wanting to lose her memories, rather having them kept inside which would have been shown by the artist being trapped in her room and buildings. The first shot was in the park showing her walk down her memory lane in an open environment, parks are usually associated with freedom of movement and memories, which portrays how she is looking for hope and trying to escape the memories of her ex.
Similarly, the Olympic Park was used as she strolls and sings in both the day and night. This shows the different locations she had been to with her ex she remembers them, it also gives the audience a glimpse of how long they had their relationship for.
Bridges are used to connect to places together, in this case it was used to portray the time when she was together, as she is not directly looking at the camera and instead looking away, it could imply how she no longer wants to have any connections with the person at all.
In contrast to the locations showing her feelings places like the studio and Leake St. were used as she can directly show her internal feelings of being dark and lonely, there could also be a second meaning as these places also do not link to her memories showing how after her breakup she is now more free to do what she likes. The studio could also be like a canvas which is empty just like her experiences pre relation, with the art on the walls of Leake St. being the full canvas showing that she is happier now full of different experiences allowing to be more creative with her life doing whatever she wants and able to do more things.
